Correction: 2017 Housing Inventory Count and Point-in-Time Count Resources

This message is being sent to correct the day of the week the HIC and PIT Count Webinar will take place. The webinar will be held on Thursday , November 10, 2016; Not Wednesday. The 2017 Housing Inventory Count (HIC) and Point-in-Time (PIT) count is coming up quickly. Communities should be involved in their planning process by now. Several HIC and PIT count resources are available now and more resources will be released in the coming weeks. 2017 HIC and PIT Count Notice : In August this year, HUD published the 2017 Notice for HIC and PIT Data Collection for Continuum of Care (CoC) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Programs . SUBSCRIBE 11/03/2016 SSVF 2016 Export - Export ID Field Length The value of this field was modified to include the string "_2016" in the new SSVF 2016 Export files. Consequently, users have reported  receiving an error in the repository stating that this field is over the 32 character limit. We are currently working on modifying this field to remove the "_2016" string and return the field length back to below it's 32 character limit. We anticipate this change will be ready and available in SP 5.12.32 tomorrow. Note: if you are running the SSVF export, please wait until SP 5.12.32 becomes available tomorrow to take advantage of the latest fixes to the export, as well as the above mentioned pending Export

We apologize for the delay. Corrected uploads are still due by November 9th. The on-time deadline (3rd business day) is being waived this month. Upload Instructions: Please be advised that all uploads must be in the HMIS CSV 5.1 format. Compress (zip/rar) your CSV files prior to uploading. Compress only the CSV files -- if you compress the folder the files are in, the Repository will not be able to locate those files. Thanks, HMIS Repository Administrator (ssvfhmis@abtassoc.com)"

If so, this technical assistance (TA) and training opportunity is for you! The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery (SOAR) Technical Assistance Center is accepting applications from Continuuums of Care (CoCs) that have not yet participated in the federally sponsored SOAR Technical Assistance Program.
