FY 1988 and Earlier Urban Development Action Grant Awards Closeout

HUD administratively closed out over 2,930 Fiscal Year (FY) 1988 and earlier, Urban Development Action Grant awards. This is a notification message. The Office of Policy Development and Coordination (OPDC) has administratively closed out the Community Planning and Development - Urban Development Action Grant (UDAG) portfolio. The closeout procedures are outlined at 24 CFR parts 84 and 85 . This notification is to inform grantees/recipients that their expired Urban Development Action Grant awards from FY 1988 and earlier are now closed. The list of grants includes: The grant number Grant name (if available) Region Grant amount Date of last disbursement View the list of grantees/recipients with closed awards . Grantees/Recipients: This is the only notification that will be provided regarding administratively closeout of UDAG FY 1988 and earlier grants. FY 2017 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Competition: Technical Correction Posted for FY 2017 CoC Program Competition NOFA Submission Deadline: Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 8:00 PM Eastern Time HUD has posted a technical correction to the FY 2017 CoC Program Competition NOFA to correct the following: Section VII.A.6.d. stated, “Up to 4 points to CoCs that demonstrate the total number of homeless households with children and youth has decreased as reported in the 2017 PIT count compared to 2016.”   This now correctly states, “Up to 4 points to CoCs that demonstrate the total number of homeless veterans has decreased as reported in the 2017 PIT count compared to 2016.” Section V.G.5.d.(1) Corrected “Oofice” to “Office,” – “When considering renewal projects for award; HUD will review information in eLOCCS, APRs, and information provided from the local HUD CPD field office, including monitoring reports and audit reports as applicable,

--> Public Members Appointed to New Federal Effort To Address Serious Mental Illness The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced the appointment of national experts to guide a new initiative to better serve Americans with serious mental illness. The Interdepartmental Serious Mental Illness Coordinating Committee ( ISMICC ) was established by the 21st Century Cures Act to improve federal coordination of efforts that address the pressing needs of adults with serious mental illness and children and youth with serious emotional disturbance.
