The needs of people who identify as LGBTQ+ are often left out of decisions on public and social services, because providers do not collect data on sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI). Collecting data on sexual orientation & gender identity Tuesday, Nov. 12 | 2pm ET / 11am PT  Many studies indicate that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) people experience social problems like homelessness, food insecurity, and access to health care in numbers far above national averages. Often these problems are not addressed because providers do not collect information on sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI). In this webinar , James Moorhead from Maine's Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Aging and Disability Services will share how to serve the LGBTQ community more effectively by overcoming the many challenges
