Register Now: FY 2017 Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program Requirements Webinar - February 15, 2018

Next week, on February 15, 2018, HUD will conduct a webinar to inform potential applicants for HUD’s FY 2017 Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) about program requirements. In this year’s YHDP competition, HUD will award $43 million of FY 2017 funds to up to 11 communities–five of which will be rural–to reduce the number of youth experiencing homelessness in participating communities. During the webinar, HUD will provide attendees the opportunity to ask questions about program and application requirements. Clinical Guidance for Treating Pregnant and Parenting Women with Opioid Use Disorder and Their Infants SAMHSA has released a new tool to assist health care providers in caring for pregnant women and new mothers with opioid use disorder and their infants. The new publication, Clinical Guidance for Treating Pregnant and Parenting Women with Opioid Use Disorder and Their Infants , includes 16 fact sheets, with each fact sheet containing four elements: clinical scenario clinical action steps supporting evidence and clinical considerations web resources SAMHSA developed the Clinical Guidance to meet an urgent need among health care professionals for reliable, useful, and accurate information when caring for these populations. HUD Updates the HOME IDIS Training Manual for PJs

HUD has published an update to the HOME IDIS Training Manual for PJs to show HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Participating Jurisdictions (PJs) how to set up, fund, draw funds for, and complete HOME activities in the Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS). Topics related to these HOME-specific processes are also covered. Updates to the manual include information on the newly added deadline compliance screens and functionality enforcing the new requirements on local account funds. Please be advised that this manual is intended for staff with a working knowledge of the HOME Program. Regulations, guidance, and FAQs for HOME can be found on the HOME web page . Additional HOME questions related to IDIS should be directed to the CPD Representative in your local HUD Field Office.

Mod Rehab Talk Office Hours

Starting on February 8, 2018, HUD’s Office of Recapitalization (Recap) will host “Mod Rehab Talk” office hours for Moderate Rehabilitation (Mod Rehab) owners to schedule times to speak with HUD staff one-on-one to discuss their properties, questions about Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversion, preservation strategies, and the RAD application process. Owners will be able to sign up for individual 30-minute sessions with HUD staff during designated times each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 PM EST. After this initial call, owners who need further consultation and guidance may be referred to TA providers for on-call direct TA. Sign up today for one of the 30-minute sessions .
