Congress Reaches Deal to Fund Government - NCHV Hill Watch Update

Hill Watch: Congressional Leadership Reaches Deal for FY 2017 Spending  House and Senate set to vote on measure this week Sunday night, the leadership of the House and Senate announced an agreement on the particulars of a bill that would provide funding for the remaining portion of FY 2017 for the entirety of the federal government. This came after another in a long line of extensions was passed last week to give Congress more time to reach this deal. The House and Senate are both expected to consider the measure (H.R. 244) this week, and are expected to pass it.  This proposed bill covers most of the federal government’s funding obligations, but not all.  As we have discussed in Hill Watch before, Congress has already agreed on the funding levels for the operations of VA in FY 2017.   This agreement covered many of the programs that we consider to be the pillar programs of the federal response to v

If the answer is yes, be sure to submit your FY 2017 CoC Program Registration and then have a relaxing lunch knowing you have taken care of this very important task for your CoC. If you are experiencing difficulties with submission, please reach out and submit an AAQ (details located at the bottom of this email). We look forward to seeing your CoC’s FY 2017 registration soon! 2017 HIC and PIT Count Data Submission: Deadline Extension

The deadline for submitting 2017 Housing Inventory Count (HIC) and Point-in-Time (PIT) count data has been extended to Friday, May 5, 2017 at 7:59:59 PM EDT , due to some technical issues with HUD’s Homelessness Data Exchange (HDX) web portal that have now been resolved. All HIC and PIT Count data must be submitted via HUD’s HDX web portal. Continuums of Care (CoCs) should consider the following issues as they prepare to submit their data. HIC & PIT Count Data in the 2017 CoC Program Competition Meeting the HIC and PIT count data submission deadline is a factor considered by HUD in the annual CoC Program Competition. Please remember that submitting the HIC and PIT count data in HDX is a two-step process, and both steps must be submitted on time for your submission to be considered complete:   HIC data must be submitted via the HIC Reporting Status page   PIT count data must be submitted via the PIT Reporting Status page   2017 HIC and PIT Count D
