VA Announces Availability of TIP GPD Grants Deadline for applications is Feb. 21, 2018 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is announcing the availability of funds for assistance under the Per Diem Only component of VA’s Homeless Providers Grant and Per Diem (GPD) Program. This Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) encourages reapplication for those applicants who seek to continue providing “Transition in Place” (TIP) grants and new applicants that will serve the homeless Veteran population through a TIP housing model to facilitate housing stabilization. Applicants may apply for a minimum of 5 beds and up to a maximum of 25 beds under this NOFA as a part of the effort to end homelessness among our nation’s veterans. This model does not support discharge planning that would have the veteran transition to Housing and Urban Development – VA Supportive Housing (HUD – VASH) Exist

HTF Monthly Report Now Posted HUD is now posting the Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Deadline Compliance Status Reports. These monthly reports assist grantees and HUD Field Offices in monitoring compliance with the 2-year commitment requirement of the HTF statute and the 5-year expenditure requirement of the HTF regulations. The current report is now posted on the HUD Exchange at the link below. You may also access it from the Housing Trust Fund Page under "HTF Program Reports." SSVF Submission Update

Bowman Client Update SSVF Submission Update We have a resolution to the SSVF CSV submission issues identified this week.  The new CSV format will be available in ServicePoint version 5.12.52 and we will send out an announcement as soon as it is available. According to HUD and HUD TA, the submission deadline for the first submission has been extended until Monday, November 6th .  The grantee can then make changes and upload again up until Thursday, November 9th . Please note that the VA Repository always uses the latest file submitted so if the grantee has submitted multiple files, only the last zip file submitted will be accepted. To connect individuals leaving correctional facilities or involved in criminal justice (CJ) systems or specialty courts with needed treatment, it is critical to leverage state and federal investments such as Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). VA Announces Availability of Funds for GPD Program

VA Announces Availability of Funds for GPD Program Deadline for applications is Feb. 28, 2018 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced the availability of per diem funds to eligible entities to provide transitional housing beds under VA’s Homeless Providers Grant and Per Diem Program models. VA expects to fund 1,500 beds with this NOFA for applicants who will use one or a combination of the following housing models: Bridge Housing, Low Demand, Hospital-to-Housing, Clinical Treatment, and Service-Intensive Transitional Housing and Service Centers.  This NOFA is not limited to those who have provided GPD services in the past. Homelessness Update

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO REGISTER INTEREST FOR HUD-VASH vouchers  HUD-VASH vouchers are critical tools in the effort to end veteran homelessness, and Congress has recently extended the deadline to make them available. The new deadline to register interest is December 1, 2017. All interested Public Housing Authorities must register. Please note that PHAs must consult with their partnering VA facility to discuss their intentions of submitting a Registration of Interest.
