Chef Robert Irvine will host SAMHSA's 2017 Voice Awards—a program that recognizes people in recovery and their family members who are community champions seeking to improve the lives of people with mental illness and addiction. The Voice Awards also recognizes television and film productions that educate the public about behavioral health and show that recovery is real and possible. This year, the Voice Awards will spotlight individuals and productions that provide hope and support to past and present service members who have faced mental health and addiction challenges. New Customer Support Portal We are excited to announce we have transitioned to our new portal, known as Mediware Customer Community. If you had access to submit cases in CollaboranGo, you should have received an email with your login credentials and the URL to access the Mediware Customer Community. Please notify your Customer Care Analyst if you have not received this email. You can access cases that were closed in the last six months and enter new support cases at this time. Existing open cases are still being migrated to the Mediware Customer Community. We expect this to be complete by July 31, 2017. The Mediware Customer Community offers a new and improved way to track and share ideas for product improvement. Due to this new method, existing Feature Enhancement cases have been cataloged for internal reference and will not be visible in the new system. Read SAMHSA's New Report: Why Do Adults Misuse Prescription Drugs? Prescription drug misuse is second only to marijuana use as the nation's most commonly used illicit drug. To shed light on this issue, SAMHSA has released a new data report titled, Why Do Adults Misuse Prescription Drugs? The Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality report presents 2015 National Survey on Drug Use and Health estimates of past-year misuse of prescription drugs among adults ages 18 or older and the primary reason for misusing these drugs among adults who misused them.
