Re: [MARHMIS] Sheltered PIT using ServicePoint

Hi Kelly,

I've been using ServicePoint to do my sheltered PIT for at least 3 years. I also use it for our unsheltered count.  I love it.  I just use the standard assessment and everything comes out just fine.  The only problem I had in the past were old shelter stays showing up that did not have an end date. It was pulling in shelter stays from many years ago when the SP set up was different from the former HMIS system admin.  It took me a little bit to correct these, but this may not be a problem for you.

Why don't you just try to select some of your sheltered providers and run the PIT report available in ART based on a current date.  That way you can see how it looks and if your current assessment works.  Feel free to call me at the # below if you want to discuss.  Greta

Subject: [MARHMIS] Sheltered PIT using ServicePoint

Hey guys,
I know we have several ServicePoint communities on this listserv – can you reach out to me if you've used ServicePoint to do your sheltered count? I've submitted questions to Bowman about the process (the appropriate assessments, etc. ) but they haven't been able to get back to me as of yet, and I'm looking to make a decision on whether or not we'll use the HMIS this year. I know they are a bit behind on releasing updated reports after the October 1st changes, and assume that is why there is the delay.
I'm just looking for someone's brain to pick about how it went in 2014. J
