Webinar: Presenting 2014 Outcomes and SOAR Superstars!

Wednesday, February 25, 3:00-4:30 (EST)


In this webinar, the SOAR TA Center will share results from the 2014 SOAR Outcomes Summary. As we have done in past years, we will share data and provide community examples in areas including; initial applications, appeals, cost savings, and collaborations.  You will learn which states have top approval rates! Presenters will also include states that have achieved consistent outcomes and states that showed significant improvement in 2014. Presenters will share their secrets to success and explain how your community can get there too. 

This webinar is recommended for SOAR Providers, SOAR Coordinators, SOAR Trainers, SOAR Leaders, and others in the community who would be interested in SOAR outcomes and successful SOAR states.
 
Presenters:
  • Kristin Lupfer, Director, SAMHSA’s SOAR TA Center, Policy Research Associates, Inc. will introduce the 2014 SOAR Outcomes Summary.
  • Douglas Wallace, SOAR State Lead, is a Housing & Homeless Specialist and State PATH Contact with the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services/Community Services & Programs Commission in Topeka. He will discuss how maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders will lead to sustainability.
  • Marilyn Hampton, SOAR State Lead, is the Quality Assurance Coordinator and State PATH Contact with the Arkansas Department of Mental Health/ Division of Behavioral Health Services in Little Rock. She will share her secret for steadily increasing the number of quality SOAR applications over the past 3 years.
  • Carl Falconer, SOAR Local Lead, is Director of Community Engagement with LSF Health Systems in Jacksonville. He will discuss SOAR implementation strategies from a regional perspective which has led to an increase in the number of successful SOAR applications.
  • Trisha Hinson, SOAR State Lead, is Director of Housing and Community Living and State PATH Contact with the Department of Mental Health in Jackson. She is co-presenting with Sherry Holloway, SOAR Local Lead and Transition Coordinator with Mississippi State Hospital in Jackson. They will discuss how good planning and collaborating at the state level has improved their outcomes in 2014.
