Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Prospect Place, 10/6/15, 11:30am
Hi everyone,
I am very excited to announce that the County Executive will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at Prospect Place, a newly renovated facility for 12 chronically homeless men in Rosedale (site of the former Nehemiah House). This project is the newest of our permanent housing programs for chronically homeless and the first for men in the County. Permanent Housing provides those who are disabled, with a long history of homelessness, to live in a community setting and receive intensive case management and support. This project was made possible through a collaborate effort that included Department of Planning as the Administrator of State and Federal funds which allowed the Episcopal Housing Corporation and United Ministries to purchase the property and renovate it from a shelter to efficiency apartments, common space and office space; the County Housing Department which set aside 12 Project-based Section 8 vouchers for the project and the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation and France Merrick Foundation which provided additional renovation assistance.
Date: 10/6/15
Time: 11:30 am
Location: 8720 Philadelphia Road, Rosedale, MD
