Priority 1 Awards (Nonrenewable) Quarterly Performance Reports: Due to SSVF October 20, 2015

The SSVF Program Office continues to implement the grants management tool for processing grantee reports and requirements.  For the upcoming deadline of October 20, 2015, quarterly performance reports will be submitted using the online system.  Grantees with Priority 1 funding have received email notification describing how to submit the quarterly performance report templates.  This means that QPR files do not need to go to the SSVF Regional Coordinator.
Please note that most primary points of contact are associated with the SSVF grants management system.  However, if grantees have transferred accounts to their staff, in order for other employees to submit previous Quarterly Performance Reports, then the online form will be within that staff member's account.
Our suggestion is for each staff member who has an SSVF grants management account to log in and check to see if there is a "Requirements" tab and form pending submission.

SQUARES (Status Query and Response Exchange System)
SQUARES is designed to give community-based providers accessing the CoC-based Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) the ability to instantaneously determine Veteran status, allowing them to quickly engage homeless Veterans in appropriate VA services. The ability to identify if someone is a Veteran is an essential first step that can lead to housing, benefits, health and mental health services. While SQUARES, by itself, cannot be used to establish eligibility for VA services, it should help facilitate access and coordination of services. To use SQUARES, community providers must register through the HMIS Homeless Repository database. Instructions on how to register and use SQUARES is attached and can be found on the Announcement tab of the SSVF's webpage at http://www.va.gov/homeless/ssvf/index.asp.

FY 2016 VA Data Guide
VA Data Guide has been revised to include information regarding HUD's new HMIS data standards. All HMIS standards took place October 1, 2016.  The Guide is attached for your immediate reference and can be found on the Homeless Management Information systems page on the SSVF webpage at: https://www.va.gov/HOMELESS/ssvf/docs/VA_Data_Guide_September2015.pdf

Thank you,
