Two recent recognition opportunities for community partners, one by SAMHSA and the other by the National Alliance to End Homelessness have announced a call for nominations. We encourage the SOAR community to submit nominations for these recognition opportunities to highlight the incredible work that you do each day!

SAMHSA's Voice Awards: Call for Nominations

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Voice Awards program honors people in recovery and their family members who are community champions to improve the lives of people with mental illnesses and addictions. The Voice Awards also recognizes television and film productions that educate the public about behavioral health and showcase that recovery is real and possible.
In 2017, the Voice Awards is putting the spotlight on individuals and entertainment productions that provide hope and support to past and present service members who have faced mental health and addiction challenges.
Nominations are due by April 24, 2017.

National Alliance to End Homelessness Innovation and Excellence Awards: Call for Nominations

This year, the National Alliance to End Homelessness is launching two new awards to honor organizations and individuals in the effort to end homelessness: one to honor innovation in the practice of serving people experiencing homelessness (Innovation Award) and one to recognize outstanding achievements in ending homelessness (Excellence Award).
Nominate an individual or organization that you think should be recognized, or share your own success by nominating your own organization.
Nominations are due by Friday, May 5, 2017.
