Part One: Introduction of SAMHSA's Concept of Trauma and Guidance for a Trauma-Informed Approach to Healing Communities

Join us for a monthly webinar series that will highlight communities working to improve member resiliency and responsiveness to community incidents. The series, sponsored by SAMHSA's National Center for Trauma-Informed Care and Alternatives to Seclusion and Restraint, will take place from April through September 2017 on the fourth Monday of each month from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Part one of the series will introduce SAMHSA's Concept of Trauma and Guidance for a Trauma-Informed Approach to Healing Communities. William Kellibrew will discuss the creative approaches being implemented by the Baltimore City Health Department's Office of Youth Violence Prevention, in Baltimore, Maryland. John Comer, from Communities United and Baltimore City Health Department, will also share his approach to mobilizing communities to take charge of their own healing from community trauma.
