Part Four: Collaboration and Mutuality in a Community Setting

Join us for a monthly webinar series that will highlight communities working to improve member resiliency and responsiveness to community incidents. The series, sponsored by SAMHSA's National Center for Trauma-Informed Care and Alternatives to Seclusion and Restraint, will take place from April through September 2017 on the fourth Monday of each month from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Part four of the series will highlight a collaborative youth violence prevention model. The staff from the city of San Jose's Mayor's Gang Prevention Task Force (MGPTF) will highlight their efforts to comprehensively address gang-related activity in their city. The MGPTF works with a coalition of state, county, city, community- and faith-based organizations, schools, and law enforcement professionals to help mitigate youth violence in San Jose.

Trauma-Informed Innovations in Crisis Services

Part Four: Collaboration and Mutuality

Join us for a monthly webinar series that will highlight the innovative work of crisis service providers employing a trauma-informed approach. The series, sponsored by SAMHSA's National Center for Trauma-Informed Care and Alternatives to Seclusion and Restraint, will take place from April through September 2017 on the fourth Monday of each month from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern Time.
Part four of the series will feature a presentation from staff members of Harbel Community Services, who will share about their unique approach to providing recovery services using a wide range of collaborative community partnerships. Harbel provides outreach and support to individuals struggling with opioid addiction, and peer workers are trained to carry and administer naloxone to revive individuals who have overdosed and offer trauma-informed recovery services.
