Up to $230 Million Available for the Strategic Prevention Framework Partnerships for Success Grant Program

SAMHSA is accepting applications for Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnerships for Success (Short Title: SPF-PFS) grants totaling up to $230 million over 5 years. The purpose of this program is to address one of the nation's top substance abuse prevention priorities: underage drinking among persons aged 9 to 20.  SAMHSA expects to fund up to 34 grantees from between $500,000 to $2.26 million per year for up to five years. The application due date is July 6, 2018 by 11:59 p.m. (ET).

Up to $196 Million Available for the Targeted Capacity Expansion: Medication Assisted Treatment – Prescription Drug and Opioid Addiction Program

SAMHSA is accepting applications for $196 million to treat opioid use disorder through its Targeted Capacity Expansion: Medication Assisted Treatment-Prescription Drug Opioid Addiction Program (Short Title: MAT-PDOA) totaling up to $196 million over 3 years. The new funding will expand access to medication-assisted treatment for people with opioid use disorder. SAMHSA expects to fund up to 125 grantees up to $524,670 per year for up to 3 years. The application due date is July 9, 2018 by 11:59 p.m. (ET).

Up to $95.9 Million Available for Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion Grants

SAMHSA is accepting applications for the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion Grants (Short Title: CCBHC Expansion Grants) totaling up to $95.9 million over the next two years. The purpose of this program is to increase access to and improve the quality of community behavioral health services through the expansion of CCBHCs. SAMHSA expects to fund up to 25 grantees with up to $2 million per year for up to two years. The application due date is July 9, 2018 by 11:59 p.m. (ET).

Up to $23.4 Million Available for the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Grant Program

SAMHSA is accepting applications for the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Grant Program totaling up to $23.4 million over the next 5 years. The purpose of this program is to improve outcomes for young children by developing, maintaining, or enhancing infant and early childhood mental health promotion, intervention, and treatment services. SAMHSA expects to fund up to 9 grantees with up to $500,000 per year for up to five years. The application due date is June 29, 2018 by 11:59 p.m. (ET).

SAMHSA Broadens Access to Mental Health and Substance Abuse Data to American Communities While Saving Taxpayers Money

Public access to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Data Archive (SAMHDA) has been restored. SAMHDA is the main platform for disseminating data collected with our various national mental health and substance abuse surveys. SAMHDA makes public-use data files available to anyone for download, in a variety of formats. Once downloaded, a user can use their own software to manipulate and explore the data.

Peer Specialists and Police as Partners Preventing Behavioral Health Crises
