Present a Session at CSH Summit 2019

We have heard from many innovative, creative and cutting-edge teams interested in presenting a session at CSH Summit 2019. Some have asked for a deadline extension to put the final touches on their submissions...we are listening and have extended the due date to January 9. If you are interested in sending us a session proposal before then or contacting us for feedback, we can help you decide if your idea works for Summit 2019. With supportive housing as the hub, our aim is to connect your presentation to leaders in healthcare, education, workforce development, justice, child welfare, IDD, behavioral health, community planning and other important fields. Submit your dynamic proposal for our review, or email us to talk, and you could be owning a session and making impactful connections at CSH Summit 2019. Need to reach us by email to discuss your proposal? We are easy to contact at summit@csh.org.

Building a Vital Brooklyn

By developing affordable and supportive housing on underutilized properties, New York State is investing in creating a more "Vital Brooklyn," the name of a newer community initiative addressing chronic social, economic, and health disparities in the Borough. Governor Cuomo has announced the recipients of the Vital Brooklyn awards and CSH is proud we lent our support to two recognized projects, one developed by CAMBA and the other by the Federation of Organizations. As a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) offering secured & unsecured pre-development loans, New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), and expertise in health and housing partnerships, CSH stands ready to help New York achieve the vision of a Vital Brooklyn.

Oregon Voters Say Yes!

As reported in Homefront right after the mid-term elections, supportive housing was a big winner with voters across the country showing their enthusiasm for it last month. Not only in California, where state and local electorates approved billions of dollars to create supportive housing, but in Colorado where referenda embraced funding for critical support services and in Portland where voters approved a $652.8 million bond measure to build more affordable housing. The Portland Metro regional government's plan passed with over 60% of voters in favor, and will create between 2,400 and 4,000 units of affordable and supportive housing in Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties. This new bond measure, which represents a more proactive approach to meeting needs, was secured after Portland Metro leaders studied housing and relied on reports authored by CSH.

Opioids Focused Series for Health Centers

Over the next few months, we will present topics like an overview on the SUPPORT Act of 2018, Systemic Responses, and Best Practices and Program Models. Join us for the first free webinar: The SUPPORT ACT of 2018 New Resource and Stakeholder Engagement for Health Centers at December 14 at 12:00pm ET.
