Service and Support Animals in Shelter - Webex Recording

As some of you may be aware Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and Maryland's Department of Disabilities (DoD) co-hosted a webinar about service and support animals in shelter, or any state or federally funded program. The webex recording was cut off in the middle but both recordings can be found here: Section 1 and Section 2.

Important guidance from Housing and Urban Development and Maryland Statute are attached to this email as well.

Please share this information far and wide, especially with any provider of direct service or partners that meet with members of the public, homeless or otherwise, that may have a service or support animal. Additional free resources connected to this topic can be found here: https://www.adainfo.org/home

If you have any questions about the content of the webinar, please reach out to our DoD partners Cecilia Warren (cecilia.warren@maryland.gov) or Chelsea Hayman (chelsea.hayman@maryland.gov). You can also reach out to me or the HSP team, for questions regarding Homeless Service provision as it pertains to these guidelines.

Thank you and have a great day!
