Eileen Fitzgerald will be leaving her role as president and CEO of Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF) to become head of Housing Affordability Philanthropy at the Wells Fargo Foundation on Sept. 30. Fitzgerald had been president and CEO since 2014. Prior to SAHF, Fitzgerald had been CEO and COO of NeighborWorks America.
Andrea Ponsor was appointed interim president and chief executive officer at SAHF by its board last week. Ponsor has been with the organization since 2016 serving as its COO and EVP for Policy.
Mary Anne Carter was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the 12th chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts on Aug. 1. Carter had served as acting chairman of the Arts Endowment since June 2018, following 18 months as the agency’s senior deputy chairman. Prior to her positions at the NEA, Carter worked for former Florida governor Rick Scott overseeing budget and policy, and as a director at the Heritage Foundation.

The Urban Institute's technical paper, Affordable Housing Investment: A Guide for Nonprofit Hospitals and Health Systems, is designed to help nonprofit hospitals and heath systems understand how their institutional assets and prestige can support affordable housing development projects and provide practical information on how they can start investing in affordable housing.
