Suicide takes the lives of an estimated 45,000 Americans–including 6,000 Veterans–each year. The PsychArmor Institute recognizes this issue and, in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs, has developed an online course called S.A.V.E. This course helps people develop a general understanding of the problem of suicide in the United States, understand how to identify a Veteran who may be at risk for suicide, and know what to do if one identifies a Veteran at risk.
