Dear NHSDC Community,
After much deliberation and in consultation with HUD, we are announcing the cancellation of the NHSDC Spring 2020 Conference in Minneapolis. This difficult decision was made in response to the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on attendees, speakers, sessions, agencies, and of course, the populations we all serve.
Here’s what this announcement means:
Hotel reservations at Hyatt Regency Minneapolis The hotel will automatically cancel all reservations made for the 2020 conference.
2020 Spring Conference Registrations For those that opt to cancel and not transfer registrations, please note that we will be suspending our cancellation fee policy. However, having just switched over to a new registration process, we are still working out the details with Whova on how to handle cancellations and transfers of registrations.

2020 Fall Conference We are excited to announce our Fall conference, which will be held October 14-15 at the Sheraton in Atlanta, GA. (Pre-conference events will be held on October 13). Please keep these dates in mind when cancelling or changing flight reservations.
2021 Spring Conference We have worked with the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis to secure the same location for our 2021 conference, which will be held on April 12-14, 2021. Mark your calendars!
Message from HUD-SNAPS HUD-SNAPS understands that this postponement of the conference may cause other issues related to grants monitoring and will be sending out letters to registrants that indicates SNAPS approval to use these registration funds at a later date. Grantees should keep the letter on file for monitoring purposes. SNAPS also understands that grantees may incur travel cancellation or rebooking fees and are working to produce guidance on this point in the very near future. In the meantime, please maintain documentation in your records of all costs and changes. HUD-SNAPS encourages registrants to carry over their registration to the Fall 2020 NHSDC conference, which has been pre-approved by HUD.
Online Content Finally, HUD and NHSDC are hoping to offer planned content online this Spring and will be in communication.
