NEW: Use of EHA For Homeless Veterans Needing Self-Quarantine
The SSVF Program Office continues to monitor the needs of homeless Veterans who needs safe shelter assistance. In response to this need, the Program Office has expanded the ability for Grantees to provide EHA assistance to those who need to self-quarantine due to potential exposure to COVID-19 prior to entering congregate shelter, CRS locations, or GPD locations. Please refer to the SSVF COVID-19 Response FAQ Document on the SSVF Website for further details at:

REMINDER: SSVF COVID-19 Frequently Asked Question Updates
The SSVF Program Office has developed a Frequently Asked Questions document in response to the many grantee questions about COVID-19. The FAQ document is updated on a regular basis, most recently April 16. We encourage grantees to communicate questions to their Regional Coordinators so The FAQ document and other COVID 19 related resources are located on the Announcements page of the SSVF Website at:

REMINDER: Learning Management Site -LMS – Housing Skills Practice Center
The SSVF Program Office is pleased to partner with our technical assistance providers to offer the Housing Skills Practice Center, and online learning platform (Learning Management Site -LMS) that allows for interactive curricula on topics relevant to SSVF. All SSVF Grantees have identified an internal Learning Manager who has been provided information on the number of licenses available to the organization and instructions for how to access the HSPC. Currently, the HSPC has two curricula, one focused on Rapid Rehousing Case Management services and another focused-on Income Maximization strategies for Veterans. Grantee staff should reach out to their internal Learning Manager or email housingpractice@tacinc.org for more information. COMING IN 2020: Four new curricula will be released later this year. These will focus on Rapid Resolution, SSVF Program Management, Direct Service Practices, and Shared Housing Strategies.

NEW: SSVF Grantee COVID 19 Response Recognition
As with many of the SSVF grantees, Westcare in Guam has been creative and gone above and beyond to ensure our Veterans safety. We would like to recognize Westcare as they partner with the Department of Education's food commodity distribution program. Since last week, Westcare's Outreach Worker has been delivering food curbside from the Department of Education to each SSVF Veteran household. Westcare has also connected with Guam Homeland Security and the Joint Information Center to disseminate a press release regarding the availability of SSVF services, especially Emergency Housing Assistance. These entities control information released to the public regarding the Governor of Guam's Executive Orders (i.e., shut down of all non-essential services, road closures, etc.) and all COVID-19 related updates. Great job!
Thank you,
SSVF Program Office
