Due to growing concerns over the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and with the health and safety of our members, partners, and staff in mind, NCHV has decided to postpone the 2020 Annual Conference and 30th Anniversary Gala and Awards ceremony.
Save the Date
The 2020 Annual Conference, Honoring the Past, Building the Future has been rescheduled for September 28-30, 2020 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington DC. The 30th Anniversary Gala and Award Ceremony will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Additional information about registration and hotel accommodations will be coming soon. We thank you for your patience during this challenging time.
We are aware that the new conference dates include Yom Kippur, an important holiday for members of the Jewish Faith. NCHV did not make this scheduling decision lightly. We looked at all the options and given the impact of COVID-19 on health, travel, and hotel availability and continued uncertainty, September 28-30 were the only workable dates for the remainder of the year.
To accommodate our Jewish colleagues, we are exploring various options which might allow them to participate in the conference that includes discounting registrations for Tuesday and Wednesday (9/29-9/30); obtaining tickets for high holiday services on Sunday, September 27, and Monday, September 28; and hosting a private evening kosher meal to break the fast with other conference attendees.
We understand that this situation is less than ideal and are committed to doing all we can. As we continue to work through the options, we welcome your suggestions and ideas on how best to meet your needs.
As we move forward in these trying times, we take comfort in our shared mission of serving veterans. We look forward to seeing you in September.
