Team Red, White & Blue's 1776 Challenge is an epic physical series of goals that brings Veterans, supporters, and Team RWB partners together. Participants to complete every exercise and check-in through the app will receive a free 1776 Challenge patch. You must be a member of Team RWB to check-in and participate. VA's Acting Deputy Secretary Pam Powers will host an event for women Veterans June 23 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET. Secretary Robert Wilkie will kick off the event. This will look at how VA responded to COVID-19, address how VA has changed as a result of it and will discuss a post-pandemic environment.
In May, Team Rubicon launched the COVID-19 Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) in partnership with the Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) and supported by Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation. Through EFAP, Team Rubicon connects people battling cancer, multiple sclerosis, and rheumatoid arthritis to an application site where they can request food delivery or financial assistance. Nearly 250 Veterans from across the country are participating in VA's National Veterans Golden Age Games at HOME! Watch the opening ceremonies online June 22 at 6 pm ET. The competition includes a week-long series of sporting events June 23-27, 2020.
