Borne the Battle

Celebrating Our 200th Episode With

Special Guest "Big Swole"

Big Swole

This week, Air Force Veteran and pro wrestler Aerial Johnson, AKA "Big Swole," talks about her transition out of uniform and how she found post-service success in the ring, despite facing significant challenges.
In 2008, doctors told Johnson that a severe case of Crohn's disease would prevent her from having children or participating in intense sports. Today, this mother of a six-year old is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and also wrestles on the indie circuit, where she is the current Phoenix of Rise Champion.
On our 200th episode, hear her share what she learned from her service and how it helped her overcome her diagnosis to follow her dreams.
Since 2016, we've kept you up to date on important VA resources while connecting you to Veteran stories from all walks of life. From students to CEOs, artists to athletes, and everything in between, the podcast helps Veterans share their experiences while recognizing the challenges and achievements of those who have borne the battle.
