ATTENTION: Webinar Cancelled for July 9th, 2020

The SSVF Program Office has decided to cancel the regularly scheduled webinar for July 9th, 2020.  There will be a Webinar the following week along with an Office Hours call for SSVF Grantees to attend.

IMPORTANT:  SSVF Authority to Continue Expanded Assistance 90 Days Beyond the Stafford Act

In an effort to ensure the need of homeless and at-risk Veterans, the SSVF Program Office has been granted the authority to continue providing expanded services 90 days beyond the end of the Stafford Act.  This authority allows Grantees to continue to provide additional rental and utility assistance, along with emergency housing placements in hotels, for a transition time after the end of the incident period (Stafford Act).  By having this additional time, Grantees will have the opportunity to transition Veterans served away for temporary financial supports and/or to other long-term supportive resources.  This will also allow time for Veterans remaining in EHA hotel placements to successfully transition into permanent housing and prevent a return to homelessness.  Please continue to review weekly Program Office updates, Webinars, and Office Hours for ongoing information and updates.

NEW:  The Use of the HUD-VASH Referral Packet COVID - 19 Extended Through December 31st, 2020

The SSVF Program Office has updated the HUD-VASH Referral Packet being utilized during COVID-19.  This packet continues to include the request for rental assistance; however, there is no longer a requirement for a signed ROI, as there are still many communities not meeting with Veterans face to face.  The Program Office continues to anticipate the need for SSVF Grantees to support local HUD-VASH Programs as it relates to delays in PHA voucher issuances.

Thank you,

SSVF Program Office
