The Office of HIV/AIDS Housing (OHH) is hosting a webinar on September 2, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EDT for Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) formula and competitive grantees and project sponsors related to expanded opportunities to use HOPWA supportive services activities as part of a community’s strategic response to COVID-19. The webinar will provide information on how HOPWA-funded supportive services, such as nutrition and transportation services, can be used to respond to and protect individuals and households from COVID-19. Presenters will cover the two memorandums explaining the availability of waivers: Presenters will also outline guidance and other programmatic flexibilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to facilitate assistance to eligible households. OHH staff and Technical Assistance (TA) providers will provide information and answer participant questions related to the use of supportive services as a strategy and cover some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) posed by HOPWA grantees and project sponsors on funding supportive services in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
