The SSVF Program Office has published Program Change Requirements for the 4th Quarter; the due date for this requirement is September 18, 2020.  Grantees may request changes to align their FY2020 budgets with changes that were made to program design or concept while operating under the recent CARES award.  In addition, grantees may request anticipated changes for operating year FY2021, as most grantees may be using FY2020 funds for part of the first Quarter of FY2021.

This is an optional submission. Before completing, please refer to the SSVF Companion Guide to Program Changes available on the SSVF Website at: https://www.va.gov/HOMELESS/ssvf/docs/SSVF_Companion_Guide_to_Program_Changes.pdf

NEW:  Casting Call for SSVF Veteran Success Story Public Service Announcement

The SSVF Program Office is partnering with VA Office of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs (OPIA) to create Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for TV and radio stations.  The purpose of the PSAs is to encourage Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to contact VA services for assistance.

We are looking for Veterans around the country, including some who are bilingual in Spanish, who were brought to safety with Emergency Housing Assistance (EHA) or were prevented from becoming homeless during the COVID-19 pandemic. We need help identifying Veterans who are representative of our diverse Veteran population, easy to understand, and could be comfortable on-camera (with a bit of coaching).

If you have a Veteran who would be willing and able to participate, please submit below information to Maxie Pulliam at Maxine.Pulliam@va.gov by Tuesday, 8/25/20, COB.  Please copy your Regional Coordinator to the communication.

(1) SSVF Agency Name and Grant ID#
(2) City and state where Veteran was served
(3) Veteran demographics:
Age
Gender
Race/Ethnicity
(4) Bilingual in Spanish – Yes or No?
(5) Two or three sentence description of the Veteran's compelling success story

If your story is selected, you will receive a follow up email with instructions for next steps.
