State and Regional Updates
Anne Arundel Women Giving Together Fund
Anne Arundel Women Giving Together, a fund of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, supports programs/projects that seek to improve the quality of life for women and families in Anne Arundel County. Grants can be requested for $5000 to $20,000 in three categories: Regular Grants, Fundamental Needs Grants, and Racial Equity Grants. Applications are due January 15, 2021 and are only accepted from federally recognized nonprofits that are in compliance with Maryland state laws. National and Federal Updates
Tools for Communities Planning for Winter
The Framework for an Equitable COVID-19 Homelessness Response provides guidance to communities on how to use a wide range of federal funding sources, including CARES Act programs, strategically across key public health and economic recovery strategies to meet public health goals, increase housing stability, and prevent future increases in homelessness.
To accompany the Framework, a set of Resources and Tools are provided to assist with implementation. Additionally, winter planning resources from HUD can be found here.

African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund
The National Trust is now accepting letters of intent for grants to support ongoing preservation activities at historic places representing African American cultural heritage. Grants range from $50,000 to $150,000 and support work in work in four primary areas: Capital Projects, Organizational Capacity Building, Project Planning, and Programming and Interpretation. Letters of intent are due January 15, 2021; program guidelines and more information can be found here.
