HUD is hosting the final Point-in-Time (PIT) Count Office Hours, in advance of the 2021 PIT count, on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM EST. This PIT Count Office Hours will support Continuums of Care (CoCs) in finalizing their 2021 PIT count and Housing Inventory Count (HIC) plans. The end of the call will be reserved to answer any questions you have about conducting the 2021 PIT count.

CPD Memo: Availability of Waivers for the Biennial Point-in-Time Count of Unsheltered Homelessness: This memo legally formalizes HUD’s requirements and flexibilities for the 2021 unsheltered PIT count. CoCs should follow this document’s waiver notification process.
Conducting the 2021 Unsheltered PIT Count: This document provides guidance to CoCs on how to safely conduct the 2021 PIT count during the COVID-19 pandemic. CoCs should not follow the waiver request process outlined in this document and should instead refer to the updated process outlined in the CPD memo linked above.
How to Use Sampling within a CoC to Conduct an Unsheltered PIT Count: This document provides an overview of how to use sampling to estimate a total count of people experiencing unsheltered homelessness on the night of the PIT count.
