HUD's HDX 1.0 Now Open for CoCs to Submit Their 2022 HIC and PIT Count Data

HUD Exchange is redistributing the information for awareness. HUD's Homelessness Data Exchange (HDX) web portal is now open for Continuums of Care (CoCs) to submit their 2022 Housing Inventory Count (HIC) and Point-in-Time (PIT) count data. The 2022 HIC and PIT count data must be submitted via the HDX by Friday, April 29, 2022, at 8:00 PM EDT. Note: These reports will not be submitted through the new HDX 2.0, but will instead be submitted through the original HDX "1.0." Please be sure you are visiting the correct site and updating your credentials there. The two sites do not share passwords, so you will need to maintain/update two separate passwords – one for each site. Meeting the data submission deadline for the HIC and PIT count has historically been a factor considered by HUD in the annual CoC Program Competition. CoCs should consider the amount of time it may take to compile and enter information needed to meet the 2022 reporting requirements. Updated Guidance HUD recently published the 2022 HIC and PIT Count Data Submission Guidance, which clarifies many common questions related to submitting this year's HIC and PIT count. HUD encourages CoCs to get started with their HIC uploads and sheltered PIT counts, as the data submission process for those remains largely unchanged. Office Hours: Submitting the 2022 HIC and PIT Count Data HUD will be hosting an Office Hours session on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 3:00 – 4:30 PM EDT to highlight updates to the HDX and address questions regarding the data submission process.
